The BBC have released figures for the amount of times a show is watched via iPlayer in time for it's second birthday and low & behold Top Gear is most watched show on iPlayer. From the article:
"BBC Two show Top Gear was the most watched programme of the year on BBC iPlayer, figures show. The first episodes of series 13 and 14 of the car magazine show were streamed 1.7m and 1.3m times respectively."
Although I imagine it might be topped by the Doctor Who specials on Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Mr Beebarf is turning into a Doctor Who obsessive. I've also got several friends who are also somewhat more than fans, and they told me about this community and design. I had some blue cotton in my stash - snaffled very cheaply at a charity shop - and I was off. In less than an evening, I had a gift for my sweetie!
I made the border garter stitch rather than single rib, as garter stitch is speedier but other than that, I made no changes.
Fortunately, Mr Beebarf doesn't have an LJ account so he doesn't know about things like patterns for Doctor Who scarves. I'd like to keep it like that ;o)
Hello! I know that a compilation episode aired recently, after a long delay. Does anyone know if there was any new footage in it (bits that didn't air in an episode the first time), or was it all old, best-of clips? If the former, would anyone be able to upload it?
Using the TARDIS socks pattern as posted by swallowedbysky (thank you for posting it!), I made a Christmas stocking for a friend who is a fan of DW. I followed the pattern exactly but used 4ply yarn (instead of fingering weight/sock yarn) and a size 1 (US) needle. It looks a little smaller, in the pictures, than it actually is. :)
Now to actually make some socks to wear!
